Hi, I just wanna share about my experienced about that middle name. When me and my husband got married we went right away to social security office to change my name to married name for my   Social Security Card however I was shocked for the very first time that I can't just put my maiden name as my Middle name once I get married and have my husband's last night. In other words I never changed my middle name although that's our tradition in the Philippines. I still keep my middle name then my husbands last name as my New last name. I just basically followed what they're rule is here in US unless you legally change your name. But you have an option to put a hyphen on your last name before you get married then your husbands last name. By the way mine I drop my Old last night, keep my middle name then married name.

It must depend on the state, because in California I got rid of my middle name and made my maiden name my middle name using the marriage license. Worked for DMV and SSN

04-11-2017 InfoPass and mailed RFIE response

04-19-2017 RFIE response received by USCIS

04-21-2017 Biometrics appointment

06-08-2017 EAD/AP approved (day 80)

10-03-2017 Sent online case status inquiry for I-485

11-06-2017 InfoPass appointment about case status 

12-05-2017 Requested case update from Congressperson's office

01-22-2018 Interview!! Approved on the spot
