St. Luke's medical...only MNL case # needed?

I have searched on VJ but have seen conflicting answers. We are ready to do the medical on Tuesday but we have not scheduled our visa interview yet...probably in June. Can we go ahead with the medical if we only have the MNL case # or do we have to have an interview date already scheduled?

I saw that but on the online registration it shows "interview date...if none, leave blank". This is for a CR1 if that makes any difference.

SLEC wants the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) or Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

  • Principal Applicant - original & 1 photocopy
  • Derivatives - 1 photocopy each

If Interview letter or Visa Interview Confirmation was received via email, print 2 copies for the principal applicant and 1 copy for each derivative.

If you got your case complete letter from NVC (which should have your MNL# on it) your dad should be fine to complete the medical at SLEC.

As noted by another; do remember your visa validity date starts with the 1st day of the medical.

Once you get your interview day, and your case file is at the embassy you can reschedule your interview date .. if you find an earlier opening.

Today I accompanied my wife and 6 year old daughter for their medical (Day 1) at St. Luke's. We will go back tomorrow afternoon (Day 2) to find out the results. I was surprised that they did not request the skin test for my daughter. I thought that was a requirement for all children 14 years old and younger. Everything went smoothly. Praying for good results tomorrow :)

You were allowed in with the the the baby to assist with the 6 year old child?  Interesting.  Good to know.

You are referring to your step-daughter (6 years old)?  They didn't do the the TB skin test?  Hope it wasn't a "oops we forgot" when you arrive tomorrow.   The skin test is a 3 day process.

Do keep us posted.

We had a relative take care of our baby today at the hotel. I was allowed in to assist my stepdaughter. We asked 1 of the security if tomorrow we could bring our 2 month old daughter...they said yes. I will update you tomorrow evening. No, they didn't do the TB skin test.

Seems very odd to not have completed the skin test.   I will watch for your update.

Hope all goes well.

Today we arrived at SLEC at 2:30 pm. with our 2 month old baby in tow. They let her in without any problem. My wife was told she has to undergo the sputum test, in 2 weeks. My 6 year old daughter was ready for immunization today but because my wife needs to do the sputum test they did not do my daughter's immunity on. My wife asked them if my daughter would need to do the skin test and they told her no.

Thanks for the update.  SPUTUM will add 60 days to the process.

Still find it interesting that the 6 y.o. daughter does not have to complete a skin test.
