Good afternoon :)

Yesterday we finally got approved and I am wondering how long does it usually take for NVC to receive an approved l-129f petition and start to processing it? Just want to be aware of certain time frames. Can anyone share your experience please?

Hi! Are you applying for K1?

We applied for CR1, from the time we got approved by USCIS it took almost 2 months to get to NVC and then about 6 months until case complete (our own fault for wasting one). Another month wait for interview. 

In total from USCIS approval to interview = 9 months!

Maybe yours will be faster, because we did CR1.

for me , it took 2 weeks from getting the NOA 2 till NVC send the file out to embassy. Generally it takes between 1 to 2 weeks at NVC. You can call NVC office to get update on your case.

It can taker up to 6 weeks for NVC to receive your case from USCIS. That said it's usually within 1-3 weeks, with 2 weeks being the most common. You can call NVC to see when it arrives and get your case number.

10/14/17: Biometrics appointment notice received, 10/25/17: Biometrics

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

K-1:

4/6/2017: Received, 4/12/2017: Sent to Riyadh embassy, 4/16/2017: Case received at Riyadh embassy, 4/21/2017: Request case transfer to Manila, approved 4/24/2017

 

K-1

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
