NO2 approval to NVC receive

So I'm doing this out of curiousity for myself and I'm sure it will help others who are also wondering. I apologize if there is something similar elsewhere other then VJ's timeline of course...

 

ANYWAYS...who recently has been approved with their NOA2(CSC in my case) and how long before NVC sent you notice that they received your packet? 

 

I got NOA2 on April 5th and I'm really just trying to gauge a timeline for myself and what other people in the recent past couple months have been experiencing.

It takes anywhere from about 1-6 weeks from NOA2 to NVC receiving your case. That said, it's normally about 1-3 weeks, with 2 weeks being fairly common. I have not received anything from NVC yet (check my timeline in my signature), but you can call NVC to get your case number once they receive it, and to see when it was shipped to the embassy.

i got approved on March 6, 2017

then March 24, we got the NVC case number

I got my NOA-2 on April 4th, called NVC yesterday (4/19) to get a case number. However, I needed my fiancee's passport number, and there I was stuck. She doesn't have her passport yet due to a snag in getting her Postal ID, and the earliest she could get a passport appointment is 6/6!! I had no idea her passport # would be necessary to get our case #.
