Hi I had my interview in the first week of December 2016. I got the white slip to send in more documents. I've sent that and my case has only been updated since. I hardly got like 3 updates since then. 

My medical is expiring in about 20 days and I don't have my passport. I've tried emailing them several times but I get the same response saying that they're working on it. 

Anyone else stuck in ap since 5 months? Are they going to ask me to go for a medical again?

Yes you will be asked to repeat the medical, wait for the embassy to request it before you go ahead and try to do the medical again

My wife's case is been on AP for the last 4 months, and there is not even one update since the interview on their website, and she was not even asked for any document at the conclusion of CR-1 interview at US Embassy in New Delhi, India. Her interview was December of last year. I did recently contact the Embassy to inquire about her status, but got a typical response that her case is continue to be on AP for further checks. I'm not involving my local congresspeople to push them a bit, though I know it won't affect the outcome of my case. I just wanna push them up so that they won't forget about her case. AP has no timeframe to complete, it can take forever and nobody can influence it to speed things up...

 

I personally don't think that you will be asked to take another medical because your interview is already done.
