Have not received first NOA

Hey guys, love this forum btw.

 

Quick rundown:

Filled out the K1 Visa Application for my fiance. I live in Southern California, my fiance is from the Philippines. I mailed the application via USPS Priority Mail to the Texas Lockbox on March 28 Tuesday. Got to San Antonio on April 1 Saturday but was not picked up until April 3rd Monday. I noticed they cashed my check on April 6th Thursday. It is now April 13 Thursday and I still have not received my first NOA. I called the customer service number and was referred to contact the "level 2" customer service representatives, but they are not currently taking any calls right now.

 

I've been looking at a lot of timelines of people that submitted their k1 visa application and have noticed they've received their first NOA within 4 days of the application being sent.

 

Has anyone experienced anything like mine? is there anything I should be worried about? My fiance and I have plans getting married on Dec 16, which is 8 months from now, hopefully she will be there before our wedding date.

Did you submit the G-1145 form with your I-129F application? You should be hearing from USCIS within a few days. The paper NOA1 can take up to 30 days to arrive as well.

wow. I just realized I didnt include the G-1145 form...

 

Is it too late for me to send the G-1145 form to request for notifications? or is the form exclusive for applications being sent together

Sending the G-1145 is optional. You don't have to send it.

Anyway, you know that USCIS received your application and that they cashed they check. So they will get back to you very soon.

It can only be sent with the I-129F, but once you get your case number on your paper NOA1 you can track your case number online, so really the text/email notification is only useful for NOA1 confirmation. Some people don't even get notification for NOA2, despite submitting the G-1145, so you will be alright.

Thank you. I noticed on your timeline, you got an RFE. What was the RFE for if you dont me asking.

My husband got an RFE for not sending his divorce decree. But that was when he filed my K1 application.

I called USCIS customer service at 8:12am today in which they opened at 8am local time (California) and opted for the "level 2" representative and I was transferred to the "level 2" line but the call wait was 149 minutes and so I opted for the call back option. waited about 3 hours and got a call back from them at 9:50am

 

I told them my story and the rep was able to locate my application and she told me that my application was processed on April 3rd. and gave me my Receipt number to look for updates online. Still haven't received any letters though. Is the receipt number considered as the NOA1?

 

I also saw this read yesterday:

 

 

I hope my application will also not be returned because of the new I-129F application even though on the USCIS website it states that the new form will be effective immediately by June 9, 2017.

I have been waiting Since mid February and I have not received my NOA1 in the mail (i got the email notification). I tried calling but there was a 200 minute wait to speak to a level 2 rep. AND since I live international, they will not call me back. All of this = I am screwed. I sent an email to some address they gave me, but still....nothing. I am losing my mind, as I know if there are any RFE's, I won't get what they need (and they will not tell you over the phone) and when the NOA2 gets miles, I know for sure I won't get that either. It's so stone aged that they do things through the mail, and not automated online. Talk about a lack of security. I'm losing my mind over this situation and none has provided me any guidance.
