can i apply visit visa while immigration case in process

Dear All,

 

i need your expert opinion on this matter my Wife US citizen and she already submitted the petition in the month of march 2017  which is approved now the situation is as per the normal process expected time is 14 to 16 months and my wife is already 3 months pregnant and she is living her own, i want to visit her at the time of delivery so i can take care of her so if i applied for the visit visa as i am holding Pakistani Passport will it effect on my case or which way would be the best.  please if you can advise me all the consequences it would be great help thanks

thanks everyone for your prompt response further more what my concern is if i applied for the visit visa and in any case if i ll get it so i heard from some of people that they cancel the immigration case and after that you need to submit again petition and follow the same process again so is it true ?

Have them show you the source of their claim
