Wrong Photo Size

I am almost ready to send in my K-1 visa package, but upon completing some final steps I discovered that my passport size photo is of different dimensions that the "passport size" photo of my fiance. Mine is 2x2 inches (51mm x 51mm).  Hers is 35mm x 45mm because in Philippines, that's what they consider a "passport size".  According to https://rapidvisa.com/what-if-my-fiances-passport-photos-are-the-wrong-size/ I may yet be okay on this matter, but I wanted to see if anyone has any personal experience about this.  Will I be okay or should I have her try to get an exact 51mm x 51mm photo?  Thank you so much in advance!

Many people have sent similarly-sized photos just fine. A few have also received an RFE. The I-129F instructions say to send a 2x2, US-passport sized photo meeting the US passport requirements...sending anything else may result in an RFE.

I suggest you hold off on sending the K1 visa package until you get the correct size photo from your fiance. better to be sure now than be always worried if the wrong photo size will cause an RFE delay. it's a long wait from package application receipt to adjudication (90-120 days currently) - do you really want to spend all that time being worried when there is an easy and fast fix to the photo size discrepancy?

 

get your fiance to get her photo taken again. she just needs to specify at the photo center that she needs a 2x2" (this is a common photo size in the Philippines and no need to tell them what the photo is for to avoid confusion). once they have taken the pic, the photo center can provide your fiance the soft copy and she can then email that to you and you can print it there yourself. problem solved! =)
