Hi All,

I apologize up front if this has already been asked. I'm looking at the CSC status page under processing times for K-1.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2

I noticed that there are 1049 people in " I-129F unapproved petitions", going all the way back to May 2016. However, when I look at who's currently getting approved, we are up around NOA1 Jan 8th, 2017 with the average NOA1 to NOA2 (Approval) Time at 94 days. So what's the deal with all the May 2016 unapproved, etc? Are these just people who sign up here and then disappear? The K-1 processing times charts must be filtering these folks out, right?

Best Regards

David

I honestly have no clue, David. However I noticed a couple on a chart that is probably fake (there must be more of those around), since their NOA2 was 2017-10-xx or something like that. I wish we could just kick them out, since I always get distracted by those...

Yeah, I saw that one. NOA2 2017-10-14. Maybe they are predicting when they think they will get approved :)

The data and estimates are based upon what VJ members provide. Sometimes people make typos (wrong year), use the wrong date format (dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy), etc. There's also a *lot* of people that just stop using the site or don't update their timeline.

Yeah, I think it's just people who ditched. I did a random sampling of about 20 of the people who are in unapproved and the last visit dates are way back in 2016. Just a lot of noise. Too bad it can't be cleaned up somehow.

haha for this specific case, I think it was just someone trying to mess with the processing times for CSC. You can't click on their profile page ("hola and amigo" or something like that)

But even if you predict when your NOA2 should get approved or get an RFE, it still messes with the processing chart, since those are the ones who got approved. Plus, this prediction changes based on the updates on the other members timelines, as far as I know. Ours was supposed to arrive around June 13th - 16th when I first updated our timeline. But nowadays it's after the 16th.

Yeah, I was just poking fun. Seriously though, it would be nice if all the noise could be filtered from view. Future dated stuff would be easy to null out and ignore or simply force people to enter a date <= today.
