Petitioning step child

My USC husband just sent the I-130 petition for my 12 year old son (his stepson). He submitted a copy of his birth cert, passport, my son's birth cert and our marriage certificate. I was wondering if it would be a problem that they never met in person. My son currently lives with my parents in the Philippines.

I am petitioning for my step daughter. I just sent the I-130 on April 6, 2017.

I don't think that because they have not met that will be an issue. Every case is different.

Wish you the best with the petition.

If you don't mind can you share a bit about the interview experience?  I know for every case is different but is good to have an idea.  Thank you in advance.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. :) I was truly worried that having not met in person would be an issue.

Can I ask if you know what I have to file now we have the i-130 approved for my stepson, we have paid the fee's

I know we need to file a i-184w in the stepsons name? As we are filing this I assume we do not need to send all the supporting income documents?

DS260?

Anything else?

Any idea how long until interview once filed?

Thank you for any help & Good Luck to others going through this.

Thanks can you tell me when I send the supporting documents I assume they are for the child?

Do I need a police check record for a child?

Do I need to send all my husbands birth certificate/marriage etc again or just for 14 year old son?

Thanks
