Its been 8 weeks since i submitted my documents @ NVC.

I naturalized a month back but did not send a notification to NVC assuming it will further delay my processing.

Is there any difference  F2A vs IR 1 when it comes to number of days it takes to process documents and interview scheduling?

Note:My F2A case is current.

You don't qualify for F2A now that you're a citizen.

I had already applied for F2A 2 years back and my date is current.

Currently stuck at NVC.

F2A is for green card holders sponsoring their spouse. You're not a green card holder anymore. Call NVC and say you're a citizen now. I'm sure they can switch to IR1.

That's the whole point , i don t want to upgrade now as it may delay my case further.

I understand what you said, if your case in F2A come to close to Visa Bulletin, you do not have to upgrade to IR1 (because you got USC now). It take time to upgrade from F2A to IR1/CR1 for 8 weeks at least.

Thanks , case is already current.

I hope there is no difference in the way they are prioritized for nvc processing and interview schedule.
