It is amazing to me to hear this story. Unbelieveable. I have been having arguements with the USPS over packages mailed from 'Germany, business merchandise for our business, and they treat me like the ugly step child. Maybe it is the govt training system. Im such a liberal, I can not believe these words leave my lips...privatization.....Bureaucrats are little dictators and they forget part of their job is to be customer friendly. yes we get annoying, but all customers do. Very very sad to hear of the treatment people are getting lately. I really really really want to be a mystery shopper for the US government and services they provide.

Amazing how the government can offer crappy service, expensive fees, rude employees, and it's still our fault and our problem when something goes wrong.

yeah the problem was last aug I went to infopass appointment and they gave me a 3 month interim ead quite clearly she did not pick up on the ead issued in July or it was'nt on her computer(this can no longer be done at the infopass appointment) and in Jan-07 I was told to get a renewal after the interim one but it was'nt till last week when I went to make enquires about my namecheck the officer asked me why was I renewing it so soon you should have received your 1yr ead in july-06 hmmmm the mind fckin buggles

all she said was just let it go and you should receive your new one in the next few weeks

Gustsy for them to say 'let it go' - it is not their identity at stake! I would get to the bottom of it because after looking at my EAD card and seeing my fingerprint, signature, picture, and other sensitive numbers, I would be asking them to find out where they had actually sent the card. It is one thing if it didn't leave the office (never even got in the mail), but another thing if someone received it mistakingly and is using it. They should have it in the system, shouldn't they? Fraud is much too common here to 'let it go'
