Hello everyone,

maybe there is somebody with experience in scheduling and interview in Frankfurt/Germany. Me and my fiancée have applied for a K1 and now my DS-160 and the other documents is on the way to the embassy. I payed the fees online in advance (as you're supposed to) and got the confirmation. After that i clicked on continue with the expectation of getting some kind of a summary or a form where i could pick my appointment date. Instead it said something about "An interview request..." ... sorry i was freakin' out so i didn't make a screen shot. From the instructions i know that you're not supposed to schedule anything before you don't have the email authorising you to do so. So here are my questions:

Did I actually send a request for an interview appointment or isn't this possible until you get the authorisation?

Is it for K1 interviews possible to pick a date on your own?

If i scheduled an appointment, and it will be denied because I did it to early, will the receipt number of the payment expire and i have to pay the fee again? Or can i send in this case another request with the same receipt number?

Thank's so much for your opinions. And i hope i didn't mess it up :)
