Hi everyone, still working on our I-130 and the problem I've come to now is that I have had numerous steady jobs for over the past five years but just recently took a long road trip with my wife (who I am petitioning for obviously), and left my job..

The question i have is at Part 2, Item 42, on page 4, I am asked to provide my employment for the past 5 years. Should I put Unemployed in the first field and after that begin writing in previous employers? Or only write Unemployed in the first field and leave the rest blank? I know this seems like a dumb question to have but I'm sure everyone feels that way when filling out these government documents. I just want to be positive I'm doing this correct to get the woman I love over here!

Thanks VisaJourney Community! You guys are awesome!

Read the questions carefully, interpret literally and answer accurately.  One of your stated options matches that counsel, and one doesn't.  Pick the one that does, then rinse and repeat for EVERY question.
