How many receipts do you get?

My questions is this! I received my email receipt and my i797C.....now when I CHECK my case online...it says it has been received and i will get a receipt if it is accepted with instructions on how they process case and instructions if it is rejected....i am so lost should i expect something else?

That's what your I797C is that they accepted you. You have your receipt number now you wait a long time. Nothing else will be sent unless they send a Request for more Evidence (RFE) or when it gets approved.

You are a F2A so you are in for abit of a wait. probably another year at least.

4/10/2020: Card mailed
4/15/2020: 10 year green card received

4/7/2020: In queue for Oath Ceremony to be scheduled

I am not sure what u mean...it is 201 B ina spouse of usc

Sorry must have been looking at another profile. I thought your profile was for a F2A(meaning you were a green card holder). Still same information. Like the estimate says on your timeline. around October your case should be adjudicated. So abit of a wait.

What exactly does adjusticated mean....for this process? The total end? Or just before it goes to nvc? Ive seen others on here that get the i130 approval and sent to nvc after 2 to 3 months!? I am new at this just reading and trying to explain it all to my husband!

It means reviewed with a decision. If you are a us citizen, you won't hear anything else from the uscis for about 4-6 months. I would suggest downloading the case tracker app if you have an iPhone and creating an account on the uscis website to track your case status. You can also opt in for email and text notifications.

 

read through the visa journey wiki guides. They are tremendously helpful and will provide you a general idea of the process.

  • 09-28-2016:  I-797C NOA1 Email/Text received, check cashed; case sent to Nebraska Service Center
  • 10-03-2016:  I-797C NOA1 Hardcopy received
  • 02-15-2017:  Case transferred to Texas Service Center
  • 03-16-2017:  NOA2 Approval Date
  • 03-22-2017:  USCIS sent case to NVC, Case Status changed to "We sent your case to the Department of State for visa processing"
  • 03-23-2017:  NOA2 Harcdopy received

  • 03-27-2023:  USCIS Requested additional evidence "as it has been several years since you've submitted this petition" 
  • 05-13-2023:  Sent RFE response via USPS certified Priority mail
  • 05-17-2023:  USCIS received RFE packet
  • 05-19-2023:  USCIS case status updated to “New Card is Being Produced"
