What exactly is the "Biometrics"? Is it the medical exam and vaccinations?

Because I saw on the AOS instructions, that if my spouse arrived on a K visa, he can submit his

vaccination record and not have to do the biometrics again or have any more shots... plus we won't

have to pay the extra fee for the med exam and vacs.

Please advise, anyone?!!

At the biometrics appointment they will take your spouse's fingerprints and picture. The biometrics appointment is not a medical exam.

Hello,

At the Biometrics Appt, they take your fingerprints and photo....it is very quick, has nothing to do w/ medical exam.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

I have to admit it does sound kind of ominous, doesn't it?

Simpliest thing you will have to do the entire process.

Agreed - We all realize the instructions can be complicated, but one still needs to read carefully and digest the info asked for.

A biometrics appointment is simply for taking fingerprints and pics for the GC. Nothing more, nothing less.

Except that there is more... that biometrics is also for EAD ;) And it is true that you won't need to recomplete the med exam if it was done in the last year. The supplement usually needs to be filled out by an american CS.
