AOS Package Questions

Hi everyone,

 

I'm doing the whole AOS and all of the forms it requires. After going through all the forms as per i-485 instructions and VJ instruction/guide I have a few questions. Please let me know if I've missed any forms. Here's a list of the forms I've gone through and some questions I have broken up by form and general questions. Thanks in advance for your help!

Form Questions:

 

i-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status : 

Part 1: 

I don't have a criminal record. Do you need a criminal record check for the i-485? How old can my criminal record check be? I got one from October 2016 

  

I-693 Medical Exam and Vaccination Record: 

 

Do I need to submit this form filled out and signed? (it says on the form DO NOT SIGN UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO BY A CIVIL SURGEON)  

 

Should I include a copy of my vaccination report from my medical exam (less than a year old) for good measure in the package? 

 

I-131 Advanced Parole: 

 

I was reading the instructions and looking over the form and it says: 

" NOTE: Travel for vacation is not a valid purpose. You must NOT file Form I-131 with your deferred action request or your package will be rejected and returned to you."  

 

The form also has expected dates of return and other stuff like that 

 

Does this vacation thing apply to K1's? We are planning on leaving the US for our honeymoon in February 2018 but I may not have my GC by then. Should I bother applying for this advanced parole?  

 

General Questions: 

Should we put all this together in a binder with plastic sleeves like we did for original k1 application? 

Biometrics chq and I-485 chq seperate?
