Imus..the lastest chopf##k

I see that guy occasionally when I channel hop in the morning before work - not really listened to his stuff. Every time I've seen him he was talking to Donald Trump.

He certainly said something at best ill-advised and at worst extremely heinous - but let's be honest here, he's not the only guy on the radio, or indeed on TV who has said something offensive like this. Why does he get crucified for it and not say, Ann Coulter or Rose O'Donnell?

I have watched Imus on and off for almost five years now and he seems to be an equal-opportunity offender. It is partly what I like about his show and I never felt that he was doing anything other than a schtick for laughs. Now with his latest comments about the Rutgers team, I really just don't know what to make of it all. Here you have a man who was one of the biggest supporters of Harold Ford's Tennessee campaign making these racially-inflammatory remarks after he was prompted by Sid Rosenberg, whom I have never liked, and genuinely get a bad vibe about. Imus , on ther other hand, I think was simply going for laughs and it just came out all wrong and progressively backfired. Can I look into his heart and see if he's a racist? No. But I don't get that vibe about him. Anywho, who knows, maybe he'll go to rehab during his two week hiatus.

Imus is simply stupid. In the current atmosphere of tyrannical political correctness, how could any public figure expect to get away with a derogatory remark about ANY ethnic group? And I also wonder why his producer, who prompted him, is getting no flak whatsoever. He said "hos" first. Imus just expanded on it. Two terminally stupid people.

I also find it VERY hypocrytical to see someone like Jesse Jackson, out there, leading protests today , and acting all indignant about what Imus said................when how quickly everyone forgets that several years back, he made a very similar kind of comment that was very derogatory towards Jewish people in New York, and referred to a part of the city as "Hymie Town".

Now he has the hypocrisy to be out there asking for Imus to be fired. If Imus should be fired............................then Jackson should step down from his position at the Rainbow Coalition.

And jerks like Charles Barkley, who go around saying stupid things like "That's why I hate white people".................should be fired from TNT as well.

First of all who gives this fool, Jesse Jackson, the right to represent his community.

Nonetheless for people like him it seems to be different when certain black men are derogatory against another race. Jesse Jackson seems to suffer from a mild case of deafness when this occurs. I was taught from a young age that if you are prepared to point the finger at someone be prepared for people to point it back at you. Then again clowns like Jesse Jackson would call anyone critical of them as being racist.

Historically, Imus is an a**hole. Plain and simple. I had been subjected to his moronic mouth since I was a kid. My step-dad used to listen to him when my folks lived in NY, and he's always sucked.

A joke is supposed to be funny, and well...what he said was not funny. He's an old, washed up idiot and deserved to lose his job.

Stern got fined up the wazoo a few years for saying "words" which didn't even hurt anyone, and all this guy gets is a suspension???

I'd like to see Stern eat him for breakfast.
