RFE for bona fide marriage

Culture is the key point here, if it is against the cultural norm it raises red flags

Then your arguments are based in "people that you know", which doesn't represent the official information. that's just fine. 

 

Not trying to make the OP worry, just giving information that could be useful to anticipate another RFE,  since they already got one. You affirming "they are common and not an issue" again is not what we are talking about, but  just how an arranged marriage could raise scrutiny.

OP got an RFE sounds like just for not supplying enough info to please whoever was looking at their petition, not necessarily because of any specific reason.

 

While I myself do not understand the whole arranged marriages; they have been approved before and have been posted topics on here from users in the same situation.

 

It is culturally recognized and normal really as Kastrs said, so OP shouldn't worry about the arranged marriage issue. Maybe they will "look" at it more than usual, it shouldn't be an issue is proven it was arranged appropriately by family.

RFE had to do with their USCIS petition not containing enough evidence of bona fide marriage

 

My statements are based on what is CULTURALLY normal, which is how the embassy all embassies gauge red flags or lack thereof

I agree Yemen is a tough embassy and it will be difficult to prove a bona fide marriage without showing communication before the marriage. I'm not familiar with arranged marriages so if you were not allowed to communicate beforehand, maybe include an explanation of this? What about phone call records or Skype calls? You'll definitely be required to attend an interview just like every else and I recommend you and your wife really prepare for the interview and know each other very well. I have feeling that you may be put in AP because she is applying from Yemen.

In this case it seems the beneficiary is residing in Egypt, and will interview there

 

AS to the petitioner attending the interview or not, that is generally completely optional and many embassies do not allow the petitioner to enter the embassy

True.. but in borderline cases, a petitioner physically waiting\accompanying outside embassy complex may potentially prove beneficial.

but I would highly suggest the petitioner confirm first if allowed inside the embassy, if so and able attend the interview, if not and still able to be in country send in the petitioners passport along with a statement saying said petitioner is waiting outside

Thank you all for your help. now I am currently in Cairo, do you think USCIS might let me fly back for an interview? because if they do imagine the cost of the flight tickets im going to pay.

I am sorry, Im try to make it simple. Me (petitioner) and my wife are in a vacation in cairo. we have a case pending in USCIS. the question here is, will USCIS make me fly back to the US for an interview to clarify stuff before approving the case?

Petitioner (almost) never interviewed in the IV process.

Salam brother,

We are referring to the interview at the embassy (in Egypt) that will take place at the end of the process. As for now you will not interview with USCIS and interviews requested by USCIS are quite rare.
