Affidavit of Support

Waiting on my NOA2, is the financial support form necessary, wondering if anybody can shed light on what they did for this

Do you have to submit tax return with the affidavit of support?

yes, they are part of the financial documents

 

taxes, paystubs, employment letter are part of the financial documents

It looks like you can bring your pay stubs, a W-2, and also something from your banking institution showing activity... I am Military so wondering if a set of orders would work as employment letter

My finacee is also in the military and so far, he has given me his LES, W2 and bank statement. Do you think we need something else (are you gathering more documents that that)?

That was the documents I was going to get, but sounds that you are further in the process, haven't gotten the bank statement yet.  Was thinking a set of military orders might help

I think it has to be something from the banking institution, not just your monthly statement

Banking really is only if you are using savings or assets as means to offset being under the poverty guideline or using it in lieu of income.

I sent my fiancé in-country the I-134 with last year's taxes , letters from my employer(s) stating terms and length of employment as well as income, and letter from my bank.

My banker specifically indicated the amount of deposits I made within last year, current balance, date my checking account was open.

This the fiancé takes to the interview with them.

Yes orders should work. Submit your LES too. The more evidence you send in to show "you can cover your bride to be" with expenses the better. A friend of mine didn't do that too thoroughly and when his girl was at interview, consulate asked for his stuff (tax returns) and he had to rush it to her.

Yes send a copy of last year's tax returns and W-2's

Thank you for your reply. Where do I send the affidavit? I am just in the I-129f approval stage now.
