If I asked for red white and blue stitching does that help?

No…….but it doesn't hurt either.  As you know, the two middle of the road members, are like the supreme court on VJ.  They both have so much common sense….it oozes out of the ying yang.

It is difficult to argue with them ,as they bring so much logic and common sense into play.

Now you have been invited in…on probation of coarse….which would be the proper way. But I am leary. You need to be properly vetted to be included in such a prestigious club.

We need a thorough public vetting, including tax returns, personal photos, favorite activities, voting record etc.

I don't see how Ivanka's meeting should have any result on the policies Trump implements. Regardless of the services Planned Parenthood offers that do help women, the fact that these are also provided elsewhere, and moreover, that the abortions they perform are paid by taxpayers, and that fetal parts from abortions have been proven to be done in a for-profit scenario (thanks to Project Veritas), is an absolute no-brainer they should be defunded. I hope Congress and Trump does it. While they're at it, kill NPR and PBS too.

npr and pbs too? how do you tie in pp with npr and pbs, exactly?

no sesame street for the masses of impoverished unwanted children that will surely comprise a good percentage of the 'maga' generation.

is this anything like ivanka and devos championing girls in STEM as papi defunds the grants that support girls in STEM? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2017/03/28/the-irony-in-ivanka-trumps-and-betsy-devoss-push-for-stem-education/?utm_term=.187a6199cd34

So many fond memories of PBS honestly. Dirt poor those days and all we had was a tiny 8 inch B&W tv. That network was more than just Sesame Street to me, but these days that's all people seem to bring up about it.

i grew up on pretty much nothing but public television. i bring up sesame street only because so many kids, from back then anyway, got their 'headstart' from that show. i don't really know what's on pbs anymore, but reading rainbow, 321 contact, mr rogers..etc all of it is beneficial for kids sitting in front of a screen..

You may be focused on sesame street, and it's your choice to do so. I'll focus on their political slant, just like NPR's. If the left want to hide behind sesame street and pretend that's my argument, so be it. Means little to me. Defund them.

political slant? pbs has a slant toward truth, as does npr. not surprised trump supporters are weary of such 'bias' toward fact.

That, the public library, and a ton of encyclopedias certainly contributed to fill in some gaps lacking in my education let me tell ya...

It's your opinion they have a 'political slant' but everything does really.

preach. i do believe that when we're old and grey looking back on why the younger generations can't seem to tell fact from fiction, we'll find that the lack of pouring through encyclopedias and searching catalog cards, pulling books to skim only to find they don't have exactly the info you need, etc etc, will have a lot to do with it..

But we have wikipedia!

EDIT:

Seriously though I think there are benefits to both. I loved my encyclopedias, and I loved the "hunt" for information. However, my encyclopedia never led me down an hours long path learning about something completely unrelated to what I originally searched for because I clicked through one too many hyperlinks and I got too curious.

The switch for paper to internet is incredibly powerful. With it comes a lot of potential positives, but also a lot of potential negatives. "With great power comes great responsibility"
