As of right now NVC has a time frame of 11 weeks to review your file. They would tell you to follow up after the 11 weeks IF after that 11 weeks and they have not reviewed your file then they would escalate you to a supervisor review which actually starts your waiting time frame over. AND if you do end up getting a checklist for missing documents or document revisions you go back to square one and wait that 11 weeks again.

From personal experience: good luck dealing with the NVC. They just bumped the wait time from 8 weeks to 11 weeks. Also any additional mail/documents you send them resets your wait time. For me I sent my AOS/Civil packet to them february and mailed them another document in mid march. They informed me I have to wait 11 weeks from mid march (the date of them receiving my last mail) lol.
