Yeah, you're absolutely right, but it's not my job to teach him how to manage money. And really I don't even know how his finances are because the only years disclosed have come from *cough* "leaks" *cough*. I could also speculate about his marital relationship but I really don't see the point, just seems sleazy like involving myself in a Jerry Springer show.

I wonder though why he'd need mafia to threaten people about court? Wouldn't a lawyer suffice?

I'm just the messenger, I have no idea whether or not the story is true. I don't think a lawyer would be as shady though as to threaten somebody they will take them to court for breach of contract and when they say we don't have a contract tell them well we can say it was a handshake and by the time you're done with all the fees and stuff we'll bankrupt you so you better just sell this to us, although with some lawyers these days you never know.

Yeah. I've personally seen bigwigs talk up busting sum kneecaps but in the end they either did nothing or litigated frivolously.

I did not say I was a recruiter. Manager. I manage inside sales reps for an oil and gas company. I'm not a recruiter, like those people at a temp agency.

And while I respect that people have different ways of handling things, I can tell you as a businessman myself with an educational background in business, it's easy to recognize the appeal Trump has, especially to those rust belt state voters. There is no doubt the man is a very talented marketer.

One thing we have in common, that I think is clear with my posts here, and his demeanor, is people have a love/hate relationship with him. People tend to either love the guy or hate his guts. This is more often the case than not with people who are highly opinionated.

The other stuff you're talking about is merely personality litmus tests, which are the worst qualities to prioritize so highly.

His marketability has caused companies to pull back their outsourcing and offshoring and bring jobs back. Would Hillary have done this? Hell no. She's a globalist who believes in open borders. Would she have hunkered down on enforcing immigration law? Not a chance. Trump clearly has sway, and he has a ton of endurance for all the campaigning he did at his age. Hillary could not keep up whatsoever and that's even with the media, Obama, Biden, and all kinds of other people stumping last minute for her in the rust belt states.

I know you're not a recruiter but have recruited people so do understand the need for competency in the role a candidate is seeking.

He does not have those qualities, yes he won but that doesn't mask the fact he is not fit for the office.

Snake oils salesman had a particular skill set that allowed them to sucker a certain part of the population before moving on to the next area to swindle.

The traits do matter as it will give you an insight how he might handle situations, his penchant for holding a grudge, being petty or reacting on a whim (to an article, pictures on social media, news reports) is dangerous as it's shows a distinct lack of policy or direction. He is easily distracted swaying (flip flopping) from one end to another and it does have implications for us all.

You can believe that the latest economic figures are entirely down to Trump and that all the corporations are cowering in the corner due to his threats but that is a simplistic arguement to take.

When the America first "policy" fails you watch all these global companies go back to doing what they do best...

Your fortune telling crystal ball has been working overtime in what would happen in the alternative universe.

He inherited a fortune, his "business practices" are dubious at best, just ask the little suppliers he's shafted along the way. That fortune has allowed him to abuse his position, hand brown envelopes to others in power to ensure an unlevel playing field. That's not a great marketeer. I don't believe the thousands of law suits he's faced are all down to people being jealous of him.

You must not follow many threads here to state this (in bold). I was actually talking about the open promises and initial movements companies made to Trump's demands even prior to inauguration day. Obviously the fruits of these jobs would not materialize the second Trump became President, anyone who expects that, well.. I don't have high opinions of them, to put it in a non-TOS-violating sort of way.

The fortune Trump inherited was a few hundred million from his dad. Compile a list of his companies for me, not the couple of "failures" circulating social media memes, and tell me how the business practices of these companies are "dubious at best". I seriously doubt someone so hung up on his persona is going to know what companies he even does have.

And you can repeatedly claim he sucks at marketing, but the results and the money that flows his way speaks for itself.

I'm not your researcher, if you want to find out about his companies you go right ahead and do that.

"hung up on his persona" yes I spend every waking hour contemplating this individual.... it consumes me wholly.

his persona will give you a great insight into which direction he will take next, one that might actually negatively affect you, feel free to lay down at that point and congratulate his marketing prowess... For now there is a selfish attitude of "well I'm alright" for now so applaud his wonderous spirit but when you will be impacted I dare say you might just concede that he's a little unhinged in his decision making as we will see in times to come he will follow the advice of the last person out of the room!

I'm not at all dazzled by his little tricks with a flourish of jazz hands to end....
