Something tells me you'd think a obtaining a degree from an online "university" which awards you honours after 3 months study (basically register and a certificate is in the post) constitutes an "education". Listen, to some simple minded folk that genuinely rings true (you hear of so many people being duped like that).

That isn't my interpretation of what an education is, Trump supporters may think they have "schooled" the nation but they are yet to find out exactly how this man operates. All for his self interests, he's never served anyone... ever. The artful draft dodger has plenty up his sleeve to stick it to his base. Watch how he spins the tax reform. Hey let the billionaires have more money as it will then trickle down to you peasants. Trumpettes can stand in line with begging bowl in hand thanking him for every morsel thrown their way but I'm not buying it.

i'll await the organisation of the next large scale rally.... you never know he might watch some Leni Riefenstahl movies to get some tips on how to conduct them.

I'm not even going to address the personal attack. Clearly you're getting mad. However, if you've got a better explanation for why Trump has been so successful at marketing his campaign I'll be waiting. Thus far all this is, is a not-so-unusual leftist tantrum I've been accustomed to seeing since November.

do you have a better explanation than "You are 100% wrong. Way, way wrong." because i think you're the first in line due to give a proper explanation..

There was no personal attack, just an opinion which you could reply and say you dispute. Not too upset are you?

I am no "lefty" I have zero affiliation to either part. My views on many subjects would actually lie on both sides depending on the subject, call be centrist, middle of the road blah blah but it's just the way it is. I have no ideaology that fits neatly in red or blue terms.

The objection I have purely rests in having such a vile, poor excuse of a man who's had everything landed in his lap become president of this nation.

The fact he has managed to fool so many with his pathetic hypocritical rhetoric is the scary part. No civilised society should put this person to such a high office and be proud of that fact! So my "beef" is his character and the views he holds on race, sex, economic disadvantaged etc.

Thanks for trying to figure out my current state of mind, however you are way way off the mark on my demeanour. Neither am I trying to get a rise out of anyone before I'm accused of that too.

Where I got my degrees are irrelevant to the discussion, attacking me and where I went to school = personal attacks.

So your beef is with what's irrelevant for the job of a President. I hire people for a job myself, and if I hired people I thought merely had a likeable persona I'd be hiring incompetent people and lose my job too. Voting for a President is the same thing, you're hiring someone for a job, not to be your best buddy or football team mascot. The personal animus you have toward Trump and the arguments you use that are nearly verbatim to those who openly support the Democratic Party shows that you don't think any differently, and thus aren't worth being treated differently.

i know you didn't vote for trump, but it's impossible that anyone who voted for trump did so because of his expertise or experience in government. he had literally none. i dont know what you hire for but some job openings have these sort of prerequisites, for good reason.

Never said you obtain an online degree, you are a bit of a sensitive soul, now I know that I will treat you in a warm and fuzzy enveloped wrapping as you clearly bruise easily. Try making this all about you as much as you want but you don't warrant that much respect in all honesty.

Experience, expertise, knowledge (more than just stating he knows more than any general as he has stated). Kind of what you would use to hire people. You miss the point as it's not character alone I was alluding to.

By the way a critical part of recruiting isn't just a persons qualifications or expertise but how they will intergrate into an existing harmonious environment (I assume you recruit into a team).

You have 2 people of equal calibre, one who will seamlessly fall into place within a new team and the other who by his own personality will disrupt (a good recruiter will pick up on this or ask the right questions to determine their suitability). I know which one I would choose (and have done many times in the past).

Recruitment 101 really, but you'd know that being a recruiting manager

ps the "arguement i use" are not the sole possession of a political party but that of any decent human being who can distinguish the difference between a deceitful, manipulating, narcissistic egomaniac..... and someone who's not.

Continue to add a label to me if you wish, I don't take it personally...

The existing harmonious environment you describe, as of today, are the corporate world and government colluding. Here's an example from Obama in how he "integrates":

- Endlessly criticizes Bush as a State and US Senator over warrantless wiretaps

- Campaigns in 2008 saying he will change it

- It's down to him and Hillary, his campaign advisers and the polls both know he is gonna beat Hillary down at the convention, his odds of being President are significantly in his favor

- Obama goes to DNC, who ironically include AT&T, one of the companies implicated in lawsuits for happily obliging the NSA, who also happen to be the Denver DNC sponsors.. Obama goes to private parties with them, changes his stances on the wiretaps

- Gets elected

- Immediately defends the Bush wiretaps in court

- Signs FISA amendment giving AT&T retroactive immunity tossing out lawsuits against them

So this kind of integration is the one you want? That's the only integration I saw until Trump.

Huh?

you are talking about something else. I responded to your own statement that you are a recruiter and I responded to how character does have a part to play when awarding a job, as does experience, knowledge etc etc.

Simply put he's not fit to be commander in chief... when you understand the power and position it entails you might come to realise how wholly incompetent he is.

His comments in the Primaries alone should have disqualified him.... period!

I did not say I was a recruiter. Manager. I manage inside sales reps for an oil and gas company. I'm not a recruiter, like those people at a temp agency.

And while I respect that people have different ways of handling things, I can tell you as a businessman myself with an educational background in business, it's easy to recognize the appeal Trump has, especially to those rust belt state voters. There is no doubt the man is a very talented marketer.

One thing we have in common, that I think is clear with my posts here, and his demeanor, is people have a love/hate relationship with him. People tend to either love the guy or hate his guts. This is more often the case than not with people who are highly opinionated.

The other stuff you're talking about is merely personality litmus tests, which are the worst qualities to prioritize so highly.

His marketability has caused companies to pull back their outsourcing and offshoring and bring jobs back. Would Hillary have done this? Hell no. She's a globalist who believes in open borders. Would she have hunkered down on enforcing immigration law? Not a chance. Trump clearly has sway, and he has a ton of endurance for all the campaigning he did at his age. Hillary could not keep up whatsoever and that's even with the media, Obama, Biden, and all kinds of other people stumping last minute for her in the rust belt states.

Personally I couldn't care less about the guy. Obviously he seems full of himself, which is what gave the Comedy Central Roasts so much material. However, his qualities as a businessman and President are vastly different. He's certainly no orator, and that was one of the huge appeals. The left clearly don't mind someone who can BS people as long as he does it in a politically correct and nice way. Foolish and infantile if you ask me.

I agree there are some on the left who are no or not much different yet don't have the spotlight on them like he does due to the way he speaks. However I never thought very highly about his qualities as a businessman and still don't.

All you hear about from the media that bash him is about his failed ventures.. he's had hundreds of businesses licensed to him. If they can only list off a few and call that Trump failures, that means Trump is doing pretty damn well. In the real world, the vast majority of companies fail, and fold within a few years. Trump not only has delegated well to manage his companies, but as a brand image is clearly something people want to invest in. He brought that business style to the political realm, which liberals didn't care for, and many actually praised him regularly for his charity, until he ran on the R ticket. Then he became Satan incarnate. It's not hard to see why they hated him out of the blue.

The thing is, the reasons I didn't vote for Trump was:

- I liked Johnson slightly more

- I'm skeptical by default of the two major parties, and remain so until they can stop blackballing candidates like Ron Paul, Trump, Johnson, Sanders, Kucinich, etc.

If you look long term at the kind of return he's achieved, he would have been better off sitting on his hands and putting his 40 million dollars in an index fund. That's one thing I agree with some folks here like val on - not a huge challenge when you inherit that kind of money. Give me that kind of money and I way surpass Trump by the time I'm his age. Some of us didn't have that luxury growing up though. For the record I don't have a problem with him filing for bankruptcy with some of his businesses. It happens. But the way he's run some of them is awful. I think he was more lucky than anything, I mean for crying out loud the man couldn't even see the real estate collapse coming. If you couldn't see it coming you shouldn't be in that business. My wife has a FB friend from CA. Last year when we went to Vegas we met up with her and her husband(it was a few hours drive for them but they needed to go there anyway so they just planned it to be when we're there). Her husband has a buddy who owned some real estate Trump wanted in AZ.Supposedly, Trump wanted to buy it from them and they weren't interested in selling, so he sent somebody from the Russian mafia to threaten them that they will drag them to court(I guess something about breach of contract even though one never existed, but claiming they had a handshake deal just to make the cost and the hassle not worth it to them) so they were forced to sell it. In the end he ended up losing the whole thing once the market collapsed. I believe it even made it in his book as one of his worst deals.

Yeah, you're absolutely right, but it's not my job to teach him how to manage money. And really I don't even know how his finances are because the only years disclosed have come from *cough* "leaks" *cough*. I could also speculate about his marital relationship but I really don't see the point, just seems sleazy like involving myself in a Jerry Springer show.

I wonder though why he'd need mafia to threaten people about court? Wouldn't a lawyer suffice?
