Done and done...I'm not an onion fan either

Green Onions?  I wouldn't mind the substitution, but you have to use chives too.

I'm over the Russia thing but I do believe misogyny to an extent.

i have never ever liked hilary, i was angry that the democrats went with the 'first woman president' brand instead of seeing the value/potential in the 'feeling the bern" brand. personally, i saw the whole 'if you don't like hilary you're a misogynist' from tons of hilary supporters - it didn't do her any favors, since it simply wasn't true.

however, i totally believe that america at it's very core is inherently misogynist and that misogyny is quite apparent in our current prez. we can see it here, condi gets mentioned as a potentially awesome prez because she is hot. can you imagine if that was our bar for male president? hotness? i would list the quotes from our most feminist president ever (eye roll out of my head) but they're so incredibly sexist and misogynist that i would be violating tos in doing so. but you know what i'm talking about, when you're rich you just grab em. they let ya. *wink wink* they like it..

"That's just guy talk!" "He was just joking!"

...As if any of that makes it not misogynistic.

hilary forgot the most important standard for women in the united states, know your place. dems and hilary should have never, ever uttered the word misogyny during the campaign. they should have acted as if women in this country are equal in all things to their male colleagues and not viewed as possessions (thats simply archaic) or someone to be towered over or compelled into silence by a louder voice, no matter what the reality is.

Actually the claim is 100% true, especially of males. If one doesn't think people talk about stuff with confidants or buddies they'd not otherwise talk to others about in public, clearly they don't get out very much or have many friends. Or are lying. Likely the latter. Just an excuse to be outraged.

Oh I'm not arguing with that.

But it is also true that such "guy talk" is misogynistic. Yes lots of guys say it and act that way, that doesn't mean it isn't prejudiced and sexist. As smile pointed out, sexism is rampant in our country.

The fact that people see "guy talk" as a valid excuse is only more evidence. No one sees a problem with the fact that guys all meet up and joke about grabbing women's genitals.

please. billy bush is neither a buddy or confidant of trump. but i do agree this is how rich, entitled men, in positions of power (wealth) speak about women when they think no one of importance is listening.

It is also how 20 year old frat boys speak in a frat house.

Unfortunately for Trump, the measuring stick for what is appropriate is not based on what a 20 year old in a frat house says.

Trump using that excuse just puts him in a group with teenagers and other entitled sexist men. Yes I have been around language like that, mostly in locker rooms in my teenage years. I haven't been in a "man conversation" with language like that since I was maybe 21, and even that is pushing it. I'm not even 30 yet and I don't know a single male that I am friends with who would speak like that even among other guys. I, and my other friends, wouldn't associate with them.

mfw people pretend like they don't say things regularly in private with people that would offend others.

Turning nothing into something because you don't like the person doesn't make it any less petty, even though it's expected in the realm of politics.

I wouldn't like anyone who says that, bottom line. It is nothing specific towards Trump.

As I previously said, the last time I associated with a male that spoke like that was maybe when I was 21, but more likely 20. First 2 years of college mostly.

It is childish, and it just isn't what any mature adult male that I know talks about when we are alone. If you think it is so normal we clearly operate in very different circles. When I hang out with guys we don't talk about "boobies" or "pu**ies" or forcing ourselves on women etc...

i hear language like that on a weekly basis. when i was a teen i hung out with dudes that talked like that (of course without the 'if you're rich' slant). i have listened (and totally enjoyed) some of the most degrading and misogynist music ever made. i refused to even call myself a feminist for years and years because it was so ingrained in me that feminists are whiners that just didn't want to work and keep house. but, after about 10 years of 'adulting' as a female and having a son - i've learned my lesson. thankfully, the younger generation does seem a bit 'less' misogynist. or at least they're more weary of it's presence...hopefully it's reached it's saturation point with trump. but i doubt it.

I freely admit that I have select group of people these days. The only guys I really know I either work with, or I went to school with so they are all doctors. I have one college-friend who I still know and he is a teacher. So for the last 8+ years I have not associated with people who speak like that. If I get together with other guys we talk about our wives, our houses, cars, sports. Pretty much every topic OTHER THAN grabbing women's genitals. Except when one of them is a gynecologist. ;)

EDIT:

Another common defense for Trump is "Oh but Clinton was sexist!"

Yes of course he was. We all know that. I didn't like him on a personal level either. I still think he is sexist. Just because one person does it doesn't mean you are excused from it. Once again that is very childish thinking.

If how he conducted business was this way I'd care. Otherwise it's talking ####### like everyone else does. The entertainment here is watching how hard you have to try to get outraged at this. Rest assured if this was Obama the left wouldn't even care. ;)

This was one of the biggest sideshows of the election and even women didn't fall for it.

First off, none of us are getting "outraged".

We are just stating the obvious - Trump is an immature childish man. Are there other men like him? Yes for sure, but that just means there are more immature childish men.

Yes he may be able to conduct business separately from how he acts around other men. But once again, that doesn't change the fact that he is misogynistic and sexist, like every other men that "jokes" like that. If Obama did it, the same would apply to him. I would still prefer Obama's political stances over Trump's, but I would also consider Obama sexist.
