I would bet against it.

He basically hijacked the party. Many many people do not stand side by side with his views on a range of subjects and I would be livid if he's what is meant to represent my political affiliation (some all of their lives).

He saw a party in disarray and took full advantage to use it as a conduit to sit in the Oval Office. I'm amazed at how proud so many people are that this man and his character is regarded as the most qualified (in their eyes) to lead the nation.

he wants his place in history whatever the cost. If he makes a few million whilst in office then do much the better. You can bet your life he will rinse every last dime out once he leaves office that is for sure.

50 years ago or more if anyone had encouraged Russia to carry out espionage on US citizens he might have been strung up!

All those supporters who deny how deeply in bed he is with Putin hasn't got the American values to their hearts if you ask me. He's made treasonous comments and maybe worse to follow after the investigations.

I say to all those people You are the most unpatriotic civilians this nation has ever witnessed.

You obviously don't know anything about politics in the world. Putin only did that because we tried help the opposition party in Russia. Also did I forget Israel and other parts of the globe. They only informed the public of the corruption of the Democratic party and how they rigged it against the little person like Bernie.

They did not rig the election.

I voted for him and I will do it again in the future. My guy during the Republican primary was Rubio but once he was out I got behind Trump.

I even went to the MAGA rally down in Huntington Beach to show my support for him.

I liked Rubio too but he's disappointed me as of late

I didn't vote for him in 2016 but it's certainly possible I might in 2020. The most important factors I'm looking for are:

- Keep on banning people from terrorist countries

- Deport illegals

- Remove DACA

- Bring back more production jobs as promised

- Pack 9th circuit with as many nonliberal judges as possible to make panels a little more sane

- No more stupid moves like Syria

- Keep arms length from party establishment

- Transparency

So by that list I'm guessing he won't be getting your life.  I've said this before but I think DACA or some form of it is here to stay.  Deportations are happening but not out of the ordinary from what we've seen spare a handful of cases.

Yeah, the left are hysterical but there's nothing outlandish about the deportations.. it's merely a return to the normal function of the law.

I really wanna see how he handles sanctuary cities. If indeed he and Sessions punish them (I can't see how the cities win in court if this goes to SCOTUS) it would be a huge boost to getting my support.

I really have no idea on the sanctuary cities.  I don't have an opinion either way.

More than anything because I think you probably lean more liberal than even I do, if I was a supporter of Sanders in the primaries I'd be saying far away from Democrats.

Hell, if Republicans pulled the same stuff on Trump (and they certainly tried) that was pulled on Sanders in the Dem primaries, this wouldn't even be a discussion. D and R would be out of the question by default unless Ron Paul wanted to run again.

I liked Bernie and I mostly attribute that to my Canadian politics.  I doubt Berm will run again, same with Hillary.  I like Cory Booker big time but I don't know if he will be ready.  But hey you never know.

I had tons of respect for Bernie until he capitulated and cucked himself to Clinton and the DNC that screwed him.

I can tell you right now there's no way Booker would be elected. Dems stand a much better chance with people like Heitkamp, Manchin, etc., people who are Dems in red states who are apparently willing to cross the line to negotiate with the other party. Current times indicate, especially post-filibuster, polarization is even worse than when I moved to Canada 6 years ago.

Hillary caused serious harm to Dems cause in the rust belt states with all this talk of yanking jobs from people, Obama's caricaturing them, and so on. Dems won't stand a chance with a figure that remains polarizing in those states.
