Stockholm Interview Tuesday/Terror Attack

Today there was a terrorist attack on Stockholm, so far the details are not clear, but the city is shaken up, and innocent lives were lost.  We must keep them in our thoughts.   

 

My husband does have his interview there on Tuesday though, and I am trying to find out if they will close the embassy, and how will they notify us if so?   He is traveling from Denmark with his family (making it a "last family trip" before the move) and we are trying to see if they should still leave tomorrow morning, or potentially hold off.

It's 4 days from now I think he will be fine

 

But keep an eye on their webpage and socialmedia.

 

Saw they were leaving tomorrow. I would probably not go tomorrow but wait til Monday the day before the interview.

Wow - we're in Bellevue, also Danish-American. 

 

What happened today was small in scale and not a threat to the overall security of the embassy so it'll stay open and will be running as usual. It takes a significant threat or uprising to close an embassy. Even at the embassy in Sweden, there is a ton of security/armory. Stockholm is safe and the interview must go on as scheduled. I know it's a bit tricky coming up from Denmark, but it will be worth it. Stockholm is a great place to make a trip out of for the embassy interview.
