Hey all.

Interview day today. I had issues with biometrics (according to them, "all my prints are bad") and the consul told me I needed to come back for finger scanning after I see a doctor... OR however else I decide to deal with it(????). He then proceeded to ask the questions (Who petitioned you, how did your petitioner come to immigrate to the US, petitioner's job, ect.). After that he types for a few long minutes then reiterates about the whole finger print debacle and tells me about needed Proof of Relations files (Affidavit of Support, photos over time ect.). I thought this was procedure so I bring out all these files that I had on me but he tells me "not today" and to proceed to Releasing. These folks then tell me to send said files via 2GO and come back any workday only after I get """"treated"""" for having naturally thin prints. Good grief.

I don't know. I left the Embassy feeling......odd.  Am I even done with the interview? Why are they asking for the files to be sent via courier? Is this a thing with 221(g)? There's going to be that whole other issue with the finger scanning mess and I know it but that's a topic for another thread. For today I'd just like to hear about the "normal" experience...

Interesting on the biometrics.  Well all you can do is follow what the embassy has stated for your to complete this process.

Yes that is the 221g, make a copy of the 221g for your records, then take everything the CO asked for over to 2GO with the 221g... 2GO will then forward it all to the embassy.  Nothing will move forward until they get a good scan of your finger prints.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

As disappointing this is, you must contend with their request or face not getting your visa. This is one of those cases you can't argue with "city hall". Get the situation resolved. Follow Sagot's instructions as well as eat is in the 221g.
