Time frame for interview K1 Bangkok

Good evening everyone, 

i was wondering does anyone have relatively recent intel as to when the K1 interview is scheduled at the embassy in Bangkok how far out appointments currently are?  Packet was sent electronically from the NVC. Medical is scheduled for Monday, all supporting documents are already in country and everything needed for Packet 3 and 4 are complete, and the police letter is done as well. Thanks everyone.

You normally have to make an interview appointment with the US embassy in Bangkok. There is a website for that. They won't send you a letter telling you that they are ready for your interview now.

That's how I had to do it in Germany but I'm sure it's similar to other countries. :)

ROC Timeline

08/16/19: sent I-751 packet to USCIS Lockbox in Dallas

08/19/19: packet received by USCIS

08/21/19: received text message with case number ( Texas Service Center)

08/23/19: check got chashed

08/26/19: received extension letter in the mail

11/14/19: Biometrics appointment

04/28/20: case got transferred to my local field office in Atlanta

05/28/20: New Card Is Being Produced

05/29/20: New Card Got Approved

06/02/20: We Mailed Your New Card

06/03/20: The Post Office Picked Up Your New Card

06/04/20: Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office

Right, I understand that. I'm trying to get a time frame of how far out the dates are from when you make the appt. is it a week out a month or just a few days?

Well...that depends on how busy they are with interview appointments.

I would schedule an interview as soon as possible because otherwise it can take several weeks until they have a date and time available.

I completely understand it is dependent if they're busy. I'm trying to gauge what the back log is from a recent historical reference. If someone in the last few months had an interview in Bangkok, when they booked the appointment how far was the interview projected out?

For our K1 the Embassy notified us of when the appointment was...we weren't allowed to schedule. Noom received a letter saying appointment was at xx time on yy date. We had about 2 weeks' notice. 

N-400 Timeline

  • 2020.03.08 -- Naturalization filing window opened
  • 2020.03.09 -- N-400 filed and feed paid online
  • 2020.03.14 -- Email/Text notifications received that biometrics appt scheduled
  • 2020.03.14 -- NOA of case receipt received via USPS
  • 2020.03.20 -- Biometrics appointment notification received via USPS
  • 2020.03.30 -- Received email notification that biometrics appt scheduled for April 2 canceled due to Covid19
  • 2020.04.02 -- Biometrics scheduled for 1:00 PM canceled due to Covid-19
  • 2020.08.07 -- Myuscis update: biometrics being reused
  • 2020.08.14 -- NOA of biometrics reuse received via USPS
  • 2020.09.30 -- E-notifications received that interview has been scheduled
