So, here is a brief timeline of how my CR1 case for my wife has gone:

February 13 - I-130/CR1 package received at Chicago Lockbox

March 13 - NOA2 issued

March 23 - Package sent to NVC

April 5 - Received NVC welcome letter with case # and IIN.

When I logged on to the NVC website, it displays both links already to pay my AOS fee and Immigrant Visa Processing fee. The instructions said to do the Choice of Address and Agent form, so I did that, with me (the petitioner/sponsor) as the agent. Should I click those links and pay the fees now or wait until I receive further correspondance from the NVC?

With regards to obtaining police certificates, I know she needs one from both Kuwait (where she currently lives) and the Philippines (she is a Filipino). Does anyone have any experience with obtaining a police certificate from Kuwait?

Also, my wife changed her name to my surname. Will the Philippines NBI reflect both names or will she need to specifically request two different NBI certificates from the Philippines?

You must now pay the first set of fees now. You will need the case number and invoice for that.  Then after a week or so when the first fees are processed NVC will unlock the second set of fees.

Your wife will need Philippines NBIs in her maiden name and one in her married name and any name she have used on official documents. But certainly she will the two I mentioned.

As for Kuwait police records.... I have no clue. She can inquire about that with the police authority in Kuwait.

Best of Luck...
