This is when I knew he was going to do something, just didn't know what exactly yet. To me while he didn't give specifics on what changed his mind, it does sound like he admits he changed his mind. And like I said I wouldn't be surprised if he changed it again, but I don't think it's fair to claim he has not admitted to changing his mind when we have it on video.

God I have such a hard time listening to him. The way he speaks during speeches is so horrible. Just for you though, I did listen the whole way through . I do concede that he admits his attitude has changed. I just wish he acted a little more Presidential and recognized that Obama TRIED to do something back then, and yet was blocked by a lot of people (himself included).

 

I'm sorry but the deaths of children over the last 3 years were all "affronts to humanity". Yes he said "all other horrific attacks", but I still don't really see him recognizing that 3 years ago he didn't seem to care. Does he think babies weren't dying 3 years ago?

 

He keeps refreshing the "chemical" nature of the attack. People are dying either way. Civilians are dying. It has been an affront to humanity for years now. So I guess I just go back to one of my original statements that he is just "slow on the uptake".

He speaks in a way that kind of makes ya want to blush on his behalf lol. I also the other day in Val's thread commented on his statement regarding Obama and I don't believe that was right of him either.

I do agree that it doesn't matter to much how they are being killed,but rather that they are. Trump now has some of the greatest military minds advising him along with info we are not privy to.  One of the great things about Trump, depending on who you are, is that he is, in many ways, unpredictable.

Read my sentence again, and hopefully you will realize your mistake. I didn't use any big words there.

 

I said a lot of people. Trump was in brackets. Trump was a vocal opponent, but yes a private citizen. The people who actually stopped Obama were Republicans in Congress who don't seem to have any problem now that their spines have been removed and they've all developed retrograde amnesia. I don't hear them complaining that Trump didn't go to them for approval.

I oftentimes cringe when Trump speaks, because I know that around the nation and the world people are laughing in disbelief that the man can act so un-presidential. All the winning is getting out of hand.

You think unpredictability is a great attribute for Trump. I think it is a symptom of nonstrategic thinking. 

We still have not seen a stated objective for Syria.

Well…..you didn't think he would do anything. He did and you thought it was a good move. We are not going to see a military strategy. Why tell everyone what you are going to do?

 

I have no idea what Trump will do next time. He might do nothing…or he may take out Assad. Why do we need to determine what to do, before other developments happen? Its called being flexible and adapting to the situation. I also believe more credit should be given to the generals and others in charge of the strike. I am under no illusions that Trump planned the whole thing. He may have had input, but basically just signed off on it.
