I accumulated 60 days of unemployement. Where to find unpaid/paid internship to minimize unemployment period?

I graduated from Masters degree in a CS and got my EAD card couple of weeks ago. I already have an offer letter from a company with the starting date on May 1st week(85th day of my OPT). I have already accumulated 60 days of unemployment. If I don't do anything during April, I will accumulate nearly 80 days of unemployment period and I really don't want that to happen. Are there any ways to minimize the unemployment period during this month? Where can I find information about companies that are willing to hire International students for unpaid internship.

Also, does the unemployment period end on starting date of the job or the day I get an offer letter?

I would assume it ends the day you start working. since till then you are not working. have you asked the company if you can start working earlier? the odds are not in your favor for finding unpaid internships that you would be leaving less than 26 days after you started.

Send your offer letter to the international office at your university now, as long as the start date listed is within 90 days of the start date on your EAD they will report that to the government and you'll be fine

I was thinking of joining one of this companies and then leave them by the end of this month. One of my seniors had a similar issue and was working in an unpaid remote job for a company and he resigned from their company once he found a better option. I was wondering if there are still such companies around.

@Apfel : Thanks for the advice. I'll try to do it.
