So...I love this show. Stewart and I are thinking about applying some time in the future to be on it...

BUT

right now Charla and Mirna make me NUTS! WHY WHY WHY everytime they talk to someone in a foreign country .... do they feign an accent????

It makes me nuts.

In other news, I'm taking a cooking class that starts tonight. Stewart is excited that he might start getting something other than Hamburger Helper now :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

OMG, I can't STAND it when Charla and Mirna do that. I noticed that in their first season, and it seems like it's gotten worse! It's like, if the people they're talking to can't understand English with an American accent, how are they going to understand it in some weird unknown accent?

I hope Danny and Oswald win it all....

Eh, I like the Beauty Queens, but they kind of annoyed me during their season. They're a lot better now, but Danny and Oswald still have my heart! I've loved them ever since Oswald told the guy at the swanky hotel that he was embarrassed to be coming in there in shorts because usually he'd be in his Prada at a place like that.

And then, last week, he said to the piano guy "If we were staying a while, I'd definitely ask you for your number." Hee!

I have a weird feeling, though, that Eric and Danielle are going to win. Eric bugs.

No, Eric was with some friend of his in their season. They almost won the whole thing, but were beat out in the last leg. They were kind of obnoxious, and always flirting with girls. Danielle was with a girlfriend of hers (who basically looked just like her). Eric and his friend and Danielle and her friend would chit chat at the pit stops and whenever they were all bunched up together. Danielle's team got eliminated early on, but apparently, she and Eric had developed a flirtation. They've been dating a while, and decided to compete together in All-Stars.

I love this show. I started watching it the first season and have been addicted ever since! Even when I was abroad and couldn't tune in, my mom taped the episodes for me and mailed them to me so I could keep track. I know that's kind of lame, but that's how far my love goes! :)

I have to agree. I HATE it when they do that. I don't know how many times I have asked this same question. Why do they think they need to talk like that? I have to say, I was partial to Rob and Amber. I haven't really decided who I'd like to win now that they are gone. I certainly don't want it to be Charla and Mirna. They annoy me!

We love Amazing race, but hate Mirna and Charla!! Loved Amber and Rob, I do not see how they were mean, it is a race for a million $$$$. I recall Amber mentioning the "ticket" was down "there" when it wasn't, I do not see that as mean, but as a wise move!! It is a game and met to be played as such

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.
