What I put above is just stating who should fill out the i-864A. Since the mother has other dependents (the brother) she is required to fill out the i-864A.

nevermind that..... I missed that box on the i-864, I see what you mean now. But she doesn't seem to have a choice in this case, with the brother as dependent.

The mother claims the brother on her i864, she doesn't need an i864a to do that? Now I'm confused.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
