hi everyone . i must say good jobs on all these post. Can anyone help me understand how long a VAWA petiton will take? i already ave my EAD card through petition of my husband but he got abusive and threatened me for money that if i didnt give him money he will not attend the interview. interview date is ready to be scheduled last i checked. after i submit the i36o petition whats next? will it be  year or more?

VAWA is taking 6/8 months to be adjudicated.If you don't have a police report you have to attend 5/7 sessions of therapy and have a diagnosis of major depression and/or pos-traumatic disorder caused by the abuse suffered. If you fear for your life you should contact the Violence Hotline and  find a shelter for victims of domestic violence, if you don't have a place to stay.
