Yes, I would say Trump might be being a hypocrite, but I think there's important distinctions to be made..I really didn't care about Obama's golfing trips primarily because I didn't know why he was golfing. And honestly for the few hours they golf this is a rather petty thing to get worked up over.

 

So, importantly, who is he golfing with? Is this liaison work? Or is this just fun and games with buddies? For my years in outside sales I would regularly go golfing with people I was doing business with, or lunch, or have a few drinks. It's not uncommon, nor does it mean one isn't doing work.

 

It's important to know the distinction because as the President he should be busting his ### more often than not. There's still plenty of unfinished business. If he is indeed regularly going out and golfing, I'd say it's a bit too early for that. But again it's not like people golf all day long. They play 9 or 18 and sod off.

 

The only reason this is a big deal is because fanatics of both parties like to sit here and play this game of revenge or gotcha, and over really petty stuff.

I really want to know where this outrage about golfing came from. The first I saw of it was criticism of GWB in the papers and of course Michael Moore's film Fahrenheit 911 around the time of the Afghan and Iraq wars, where reporters asked him while he was golfing about terror attacks in Israel. Of course, Michael Moore omitted that Bush was golfing with his dad, and the left have been fantastic at redacting audio and video to suit outrage (see: NBC's editing of George Zimmerman's 911 call, editing of the Michael Brown robbery video, and so on).

Yeah but why would anyone think the Fed is paying for security or other things related to his house(s) ? This has nothing to do with that.

Exactly, Trump made a huge deal about Obama playing golf, so it is no surprise that people might call him on it. It's funny how Trump supporters are all once again to willing to overlook yet more Trump hypocrisy.  Somehow Michael Moore caused Donald Trump to continually open his pie hole to call out Obama for playing golf.

By "Fed" I was referring to federal government. They pay for security and travel expenses, using tax dollars. So i guess technically in the end we pay for it.

The Fed is the Federal Reserve, so if you mean the Feds (particularly when it comes to security/authorities), adding that one "s" means a world of difference.

 

But yes, taxpayers do fund Trump's detail, along with his family, and along with every current (not including the others) member of Congress and every ex-President. So when Obama goes and has private meetings with globalist big wigs, taxpayers are also funding his security detail. I'll need to know why this is a big deal, if any massive sums of money are being wasted. Otherwise this is really just whining about nothing.
