Reapplying for B Visa for PArents in Laws

My Parents in Law applied for a tourist visa November 2015 and they want to try again.  The one thing that changed is they moved (last time they were in the process of moving which we told them not to do).  They have a house and property, they are retired.  They're hoping to visit around Christmas to see our new child being born as well as visit Disneyworld.  Is there anything they should include or any advice so they have a better shot this time?

Have they traveled to other countries since?

 

A good travel history has seem to be a positive.

Was that, the moving, the main reason for denial?

 

They need to show strong ties to home and that they are going to return after their visit. Obviously showing they own property, and have a good financial situation can help. Perhaps being retired(no jobs to return to) could be seen as a negative as well as a child who lives in the US.

All they can do is go and try again.

Moving shouldn't be a cause for denial. They just need to be honest about their ties to home and the reasons for the visit.

No they haven't, although if it was denied we'd meet up with them in Mexico.

The reason given was insufficient evidence for ties to home country. They also said the consulor's Spanish was very bad and hard to understand, and their English wasn't good enough to answer.  A similar question, is if I flew down there, would my appearance help (we have flight benefits).

B2s are all about applicant.

They hadn't purchased their current property yet and our fear was, sell home and it would appear that they might be planning to overstay.

The new baby will likely hinder their next application also. Not only is there the usual risk of overstaying and immigration intent that family members of USCs and LPRs must overcome, there is now the added risk of working illegally. 

 

It's good that you have a back-up plan to visit them. You might need to do that.

let them use and interpreter.. if their English is not good and the CO has terrible Spanish then an interpreter should suffice.

If your in-laws are seniors then it might be in their favor.
