I received an approval notice in mail on Saturday, August 4. They received my case on April 15, 2017. Strangely, nothing has gotten updated online, but that doesn't really bother me :) Applied to CSC, got a notice in the beginning of March that my case was moved to a local office. No further transfers. The letter (approval notice) I received was mailed from California.

Has anybody actually received their new green card yet? The approval notice that I received says I should not travel until I receive the card. I'm leaving for a 10-day vacation in a couple of weeks. I have an extension stamp in my passport that makes me good through the end of January. Wonder how long it takes to receive the card and if it does get mailed to me while I'm out of the country, will they let me back in? Has anyone had a situation like this? Thank you!!

I got my approval letter on saturday too and i checked online and saw a notification from friday online stating they mailed my card. so I assume we both will get in tomorrow or within this week.

I feel you on the travel! My brother is getting married in two weeks and I have to fly out for that and I have a stamp too. But I think we will be okay!

Thank you so much! This is so helpful! I indeed was checking in the wrong place. I have just created an account at myaccount.uscis and it says my card was mailed to me on August 3 and will be delivered by USPS. Strangely, when I talked to USCIS this morning on the phone, they told me the card hadn't been produced and mailed yet and they didn't know when it was going to happen, just "in the next 60 days". But keeping my fingers crossed, I'll receive it before August 23 :)

Congratulations to your brother and the family! I'm sure we will be OK to travel with just the stamp in the passport. I would just feel on a safe side if I received my new card in time :) Thank you again!!

No worries. yeah I feel like the USCIS customer service has no idea what's going on most of the time. Last time i called they said I had two cases pending because the I751 was different from the CRI-89. (insert rolling eye emoji) lol. Anyways, I am sure you'll have it by this week.

And thank you!

Not sure. But based on the processing time of VSC, your a submit a service request saying that yours is out of normal processing time.

Believe or not, for my 2 year green card, I submitted a request every single step..Each time they would update my case right away the next day.

Good luck.

are you guys a same sex couple or a minority or have considerable age difference. just curious if USCIS is scrutinizing these couples more carefully than the rest

No. My case would be the least scrutinized one. We were classmates, same age, different sex, both have really good jobs, been living together since 8 years ago, own a house together, own a joint account with steady payroll deposit since 5 years ago. Lots of pictures from our fun trips..No red flag at all.

My thing is that I suspect they just put my case aside and never remember to look at it until I file a inquiry!
