I'll share my experience with the infopass appointment I had last week for a passport stamp. I asked about the additional extension letter and was told they hadn't heard anything about that. She said that they should have sent messages out to people to come in and get their stamp after their extension letter had expired. Also, I inquired about the status of my case and she said that my bio metrics had just passed 2 weeks ago, I had them taken in May 2017. She also mentioned that my case had arrived at this office a few weeks ago, even though it said it was transferred in Feb 2018. Absolutely no time frame for when it might be approved.

interesting some are going to Texas and some to actual local offices. Are you a CSV filer?

You mean "the case was received by the local office"? I got that message online as well but did not have any real notice. This time seems like a real one.

it was not so called glitch but we misunderstood the words on those updates, most likely

Correct! Every Application has a barcode to keep track of who is who or the CASE number I should say. when they take your applications out of the "Storage Room" in CS or VSC to get to another room to start working on your case, that is when the message says "Local Office" For me living in WA, my local office is CSC. the "Local Office" means where you send your application to. I got this info from one of the officers i called once day.

So the million dollar question is... does any one have an idea when it is we will be approved? My NOA date is 04/17/2017. I am following the timelines closely and it looks like they're working on dates in February and some of March 2017. Looking for best guess estimates here... we all need a light at the end of this what seems like a never ending long tunnel.

Just so you guys know, i have following interesting updates of my case from various USCIS sources:

- egov website---in April updated me that my case was received at my local office

- dhs website- told me that they just received my case on feb 2018

- local officer at infopass- told me my case was actually on the way to somewhere back in early June

- tier 2 officer on the phone- last week told me my case was still at VSC, and everyone would probably get an interview
