i just got my stamp today and then i went to my lawyer and talk about that. she said it's ok to go so it makes me feel better. however they also said that the case now take a lot longer. she said 24 to 42 months. i don't know but i feel so stress about it. thank you so much for answering me. they mean a lot to me.

Did they give you a reason as to why the cases are taking so much longer now? Was it specific to your case, or a general thing?

Hello fellows CSC April 2017 Filers, anybody got updates?

Crickets.

We filed CSC April 28, 2017

We filed n400 online on April 24, 2017

Did the biometrics on May 15 but no word since then.

The status on our i751 case hasn't moved since they did those en masse updates in late Feb/early March.

I was sort of hoping that we would be notified of an upcoming combination i751/n400 interview soon. There are some VJ CSC filers who received notification of an interview about 30 days from filing the n400, but not us. It's been 43 days since we filed and we've heard nothing.

As of June 11, 2018, petitioners who file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, or Form I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status, will receive a Form I-797 receipt notice that can be presented with their Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card, as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on their Permanent Resident Card.

We are making the change from 12 to 18 months because current processing times for Form I-751 and Form I-829 have increased over the past year.

Additionally, we will issue new Form I-797 receipt notices to eligible conditional permanent residents whose Form I-751 or I-829 was still pending as of June 11, 2018. Those Form I-797 receipt notices will also serve as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on petitioner’s Permanent Resident Card.

As a reminder, conditional permanent residents who plan to be outside of the United States for a year or more should apply for a reentry permit by filing Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, before leaving the country. Read more information on our Green Card webpage.

I see a bunch of May filers are getting approval in the VSC. I've got a 3 week vacation coming up in June, when should I schedule an infopass to get a I-551 stamp in my passport?

If they will send new extension letters with extended time (as mentioned in the post above) , you might not need a stamp, just wait for the new I-797 form with updated time.

Sigh...That means we have to wait another 1.5 years from the expiration date on the 2-year green card?????

Once you apply for the N-400, It's not about being a CSC filer anymore. Now your processing time depends on the case load at your local office. I suggest looking back at past monthly threads for N-400 filers, and seeing when the last person who filed from your field office got approved, for a rough estimate.

For example, some offices, like Chicago, are moving a LOT faster than others, like Minneapolis. Good luck with your application!

The Albuquerque office is small, so not much of a sample size. However, I have seen 1 VJ'er with recent success being processed out of Abq so I am hopeful.

You should not wait.  I know that extensions are supposedly being mailed, but who knows how long this will take!?  We made our info pass appointments a full month before our scheduled vacation.  And, there were many days when we went online to make an appointment, and there were no open appointments available; so, it took us almost week to find open appointment slots.
