I wouldnt get your hopes up on that. I like to think I have a more realistic approach and they will take the opportunity to take even longer on those cases since they dont need to be worked on for as long as you have that I-551 stamp.

Hope for good!!!

Got two approval notifications - one on 5/9 that said "we are producing your card and will mail it to you" and one on 5/10 that said "we approved your case". I will be now waiting to receive the green card in the mail.

I do not plan to file a N400 so my journey stops here until I have to file again after 10 years for a renewal of my green card. Good luck everyone!

Do you know if different service center will have an office to just order and mail out the card or all the service center will send approve list to one office and they will order and mail out the card?

Got the GC in the mail today. It felt pretty anticlimactic, in part because I am in the N-400 process and because I already had the email notifications. I am impressed by the DHS notifications - overall they are very quick and so it's well worth signing up for a DHS profile and opt in for those. Good luck to all of you - Im outta here!

Our NOA is 4/21/2017, VSC

We received a second I-797C, NOA, Biometrics appointment, from VSC, for one of our daughters today.

(Two daughters were included as dependents in the ROC request)

It's identical to the the I-797C that she received last May 2017 (except the the application number changed from EACxxxxxxx to YSCxxxxxxxx).  So, we will be making a second trip to the local Application Support Center for her photo and fingerprints to be taken.

We can only guess that someone lost her original biometrics photo/fingerprints.

On the bright side, this means someone is working on our application.

On the bad side, this biometrics appointment is scheduled on the same day and close to the same hour that we scheduled an INFOPASS appointment to get visas updated -- at the USCIS local Field Office, a different location.  (It took forever to get this appointment.)

Does anyone know if local Application Support Centers which handle biometrics appointments are capable of updating VISA stamps in passports?  (We think that we will be out of the country on vacation when our approval/green cards will arrive.)

Thank you!

We tried during the Biometrics for my wife's N400.  ASC could not as they were all contract employees, no USCIS officer.  USCIS office in the same building but would not take a walk in.  This was Cincinnati.
