We received an approval notice in the mail today! The online status changed to the note about the local office receiving the case on 2/27/18. No other changes after that, but physical approval letter is dated 3/15/18. VSC filer at WAS field office area. No interview required. Now for the N400 app next month. 😳

Although online it says our file was received at the local office, this letter has Vermont service center address on it, so I guess so.

Congratulations!  Every time that I see an approval, I feel a bit relieved.  (Our NOA 1 date is 21 April 2017 from Vermont).  I read another post saying he/she spoke to a USCIS officer who said the local office receipt simply meant that his file was removed from storage and received by a Case Officer.  This is why I too was curious on whether your approval notice came from the Vermont address.  I swear, if I did not have this web site to visit daily, I would have gone insane waiting for our approval.   Congratulations again!
