04/22 - Mailed I-751 paperwork

04/24 - Received by USCIS VSC

05/11 - Received rejected paperwork due to incorrect (missing) biometric fee

05/15 - Re-mailed I-751 paperwork with correct fees

05/17 - Paperwork due to arrive in USCIS VSC

05/24 - Pending VSC Check encashedment activity on my Checking account

Hi there, don't worry USCIS count the day the first time they received your packet 4/24. And from that 3 weeks forward. Then you will receive your Biometrics appointment. Unless they need more evidences. Every case have different paperwork.

Good luck! 👍

I have a question about the interview in ROC (I-751). I dont see applicants talking about the interview. I checked the I-751 June 2016 fillers forum (they are receving the approval now-June 2017) and I dont see information about any couple attending interviews. Should everybody expect to have an interview for ROC? or this is really rare ?

Hi forum members

A silly question for ya. So now that I'm done with biometrics, what next? Are  we waiting to hear back anything and if so how long does it typically take.

Also when can one apply for N400? Can it be applied for even if the GC processing has not finished?

Thank you all most kindly for your patience.

I received my biometrics letter today. Appointment on Jun 16th. I will try to walk in this week.

I remembered it wrong when I posted this. My appointment is on the 12th. I walked in today (8th). Out after less than 10 mins. They didn't even bother asking about the date :)

Now the real wait begins.

From the guide, it states that you can apply for N400 - 90 days prior to the 3 year Green Card anniversary, based on marriage. And doing so will be sort of a forcing action for USCIS to complete their review of the i-751. The i-751 does not need to be approved before you apply for N400.

Marriage: 2014-02-23 - Colombia    ROC interview/completed: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque
CR1 started : 2014-06-06           N400 started: 2018-04-24
CR1 completed/POE : 2015-07-13     N400 interview: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque
ROC started : 2017-04-14 CSC     Oath ceremony: 2018-09-24 – Santa Fe

Oh awesome, thank you kindly for your response. So all we  are to do is wait and watch to hear back from USCIS then?

I went to Long Island City, NY for my biometrics appointment today! My appointment was at 8 am, and I was in and out about 15 mins.

You can bring cellphone but just can't use it while you are there.

I just got back from a two week trip and got the biometrics letter - unfortunately I just MISSED my appointment on 6/9th! The letter arrived 5/24 the day I left - any advice? On the letter it says if you fail to appear as scheduled, your petition will be considered abandoned. I am getting ready to get into panic mode...I just read a post earlier and it looks like no Sunday extended hours to call USCIS... HELP PLEASE!

Thank you both! I'm planning on being at the ASC 8am on Monday - fingers crossed. Checked my case status online and it doesn't say cancelled or abandoned yet...I'll report back on Monday!
