What a coincidence!!! :) When did you receive your 1 year extension ??
Wishing us good lucky in the whole process.

2 weeks after I sent the packets to NVC from the receipt date April 05, 2017

in I-797 NOA stated that your conditional status is extended for a period of one year.

Hello, I am thinking you will receive your I-797 for one year extension notice a week before and after of your 2 year GC expires.

God bless!

Hi, All,

I called USCIS customer service this morning and asked nicely if I could speak with the immigration agent about my biometric appointment since I'll be traveling in June and I haven't received the letter... I called at 8 am, and got a call back less than a minute from the agent.

He told me that my letter was mailed last Friday, and my appointment is on June 9th. And if I don't receive my letter on June 4th, I can call them again and they can fax the letter to me.

Weird thing is that he told me he only sees my physical address in the system but not the mailing address... We are in the middle of moving so I put my mailing address to my in-law's and they mailed the NOA1 to their place as well. Hopefully they did mail my biometrics appointment letter too my in-law's as well.

So, anyone is worried about the mail is lost or it's been awhile for you, call first thing in the morning, and ask nicely :)

Good luck, everyone.

Hopefully we'll receive the letter soon.

Hey everyone!

Had my biometrics appointment this morning. All went smoothly! Now the waiting game begins. My attorney told me that it could be atleast 10 months from now before hearing anything.

I'll give a little update. Since filing the I-751 we moved from KC to Nashville. USCIS still has not updated my change of address even though I filed it after receiving my I-751 receipt on 5/5. Anyways fast forward and I finally had my biometrics letter forwarded to me by USPS this Monday for an appointment today in KC . Spoke to someone at USCIS yesterday and they said to send it in requesting a new appointment and address change.

Nope, screw that....walked right into the Nashville ASC, there wasn't even a security guard there. In and out in 10 mins :D

So I'm back! I received my paperwork back last Thursday, May 11.

For future references, I sent my paperwork to VSC and here's the timeline for my case:

04/22 - Mailed I-751 paperwork

04/24 - Received by USCIS VSC

05/11 - Received rejected paperwork due to incorrect (missing) biometric fee

05/15 - Re-mailed I-751 paperwork with correct fees

05/17 - Paperwork due to arrive in USCIS VSC

Cutting it close to my June 9 expiration but oh well, I included a copy of the notice from them and my initial form which was stamped and dated 04/25.

P.S. My paperwork was "stripped" and returned without the organizing dividers / folders as well as the metal binder clips I used. It came back reorganized - they put all the copies of our identification cards after the forms, and placed the photos (printed in printing paper) in the last part of the pile. They held it together using two rubber bands crissed-crossed. So I guess it's okay to submit them in a stack, as long as there's tab or something sticking out to find and leaf through the evidences.

My waiting game begins!

05/24 - Pending VSC Check encashedment activity on my Checking account
