I'm an April 2017 filer for I-751 ROC. Earlier this month, I filed my taxes as "married but filing separately"  while trying to buy a house this month. This was based on the knowledge that my wife was having some identity theft issue. Later in the month, I received an RFE that required my wife and I to provide 2016 & 2017 tax documents. Based on the advice of others on here on this forum and other knowledgeable people, I came to a conclusion that jointly filing with my wife will be the best way to go. Together with my wife, we were able to get past the "identity theft issue". Both of us have not been filing taxes for the past three years. So, I have just amended my taxes for the years 2016 and 2017. I was told by the CPA tax consultant it will take about 3 months for the amendment to be processed and take effect on the IRS system. 

 

I have to send a response back to USCIS no later than the first week of November - less than 3 months from now.

You can send the copy of what you sent to IRS to USCIS. For easiness, we usually prefer to send IRS tax return script from IRS system, but it is o.k. to send the copy of Federal/state tax return what you sent for IRS.  So you don't have to wait 3 months.

My time line:  Received package April 19 2017

                         Transferred to local office on Feb 26 2018

                         Transferred to TSC on July 6 2018

                         Got RFE ON AUG 3 2018

                         Received the RFE on AUG 20 2018

                        Green Card ordered NOTICE TODAY.

Great! Someone went into the tracking sheet and just destroyed it. I can see the person was thinking they were improving it with all the fancy formatting but they deleted all VSC data and some of the CSC data. Whoever it was, you are not helping at all.

 

If anyone knows how to request from Google how to restore a previous backed up version, please let me know.

In google docs. Go to:

 

 File -> Version History -> See Version History

 

Click on the version you want and then click on 'Restore this Version'

I updated my states, did i do something wrong ?

Thanks for these instructions. Looks like someone already restored this back to the earlier version. I'll use this going forward if this happens again. Conveniently, these posts occur on page 101 of the thread so it should be easy to remember and navigate to. 😀

Thanks! My green card just arrived in my mailbox. I didn’t need to sign for it and it was not delivered to my door.

So a question for you all - how many are still awaiting approval? And has anyone that filed N-400 been approved for their greencard only?

I am still waiting, I applied for naturalization too. I am pretty sure than I am not going to get anything approved this year
