Hello,

My Mother filed form I-130 for her 2 sisters. when I check the USCIS web for case status it tells me " Case was received at my local office " and also

" on March 18, 2009 we received your Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative "

I am a little confused regarding processing times, and this is what I see when I check it:

Can Someone explain what my date March 18, 2009 means and this May 17, 2011?

I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a brother or sister

Hi,

It means, that USCIS currently processing cases with Priority date 17May2011. This means, that cases are being approved and sent to NVC for further processing, when PD will get current.

March 18, 2009 is your sisters Priority date. Looking at the dates I assume, that it was already approved and sent to NVC.
