We've had a very tough case, and one day I'll explain more after it's straightened out.

Anyway, today, I got an I-797 notice saying:

NOTICE DATE: April 12, 2007

NOTICE TYPE: Transfer Notice

This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing. That office will notify you of the decision made on the application or petition.

Then, it has the standard paragraph about the USCIS processing dates webpage.

Then, there’s a paragraph that says: Please read the following information if you submitted a Premium Processing application or petition: Please contact the Premium Processing phone number at ______ for inquiries. The 15-day Premium Processing clock does not start until the correct office received the application or petition. (The lawyers office is closed, and I know he didn't specifically ask for special processing, but noted the delays from other issues prior to us getting married.)

My first thought was that it's good news. Good, bad or otherwise...what are your thoughts on this notice?

3/22 Got married (civil ceremony--I'm the USC)

3/22 Took license to courts to get a certified copy of our marriage certificate

3/27 Our attorneys mailed the AOS package to the lockbox (They said they've never done one so quickly.)

4/2 Applied for Social Security card in my new married name, along with updating my drivers license and beginning to change names on all of our household bills, adding each other on to credit cards, insurance, etc.

4/3 Received receipt notice

4/9 Received my new Soc Card in the mail

4/10 My husband received his biometrics notice for 4/25

4/12 At immigration office with attorney, and they agreed to do biometrics on the spot, rather than wait until the 4/25 appt.

4/16 Received I-797 stating that case was transferred to local USCIS office to "speed up processing of I-130"

4/21/07 Received notice of I-130 interview from the local office to come in for an interview

4/26/07 Met with an immigration officer in separate interviews. All seemed to go well! We should hear back from them within a week. Our attorney said their office will receive an email on status as soon as it's available.

I can hardly wait to have the full wedding ceremony with family and friends!
