Something really weird has just happened. I have just gotten a PHONE CALL from the immigration services telling me that my case has been APPROVED!!!!! The reason why they called was because I had an appointment scheduled for Tuesday, and they told me I did not have to come. I am still feeling like this is some kind of practical joke - this is just toooo surreal. I am freakin' out right now. Did I really get approved?!!!!!!

I knew of someone who got a call from USCIS to confirm her residency and a visit on another to investigate her, not VJ members though but for approval that is really great, congrats!

It's the first time I heard something like that... Did you receive any e-mail after this call?

No email yet. But usually all of the emails that I have received from CIS came around 6 pm, at the end of the work day. So, I'm just waiting for now.

Ah, they must be doing things different for DORA people. I wonder if you should go in on Tuesday anyway (just in case)... how far away is your district office?

The green card has been approved but I got NO stamp on the passport.

The officer told me the card shoud be in at most 6 weeks. However he said it should arrive much earlier thant that.

It's about 45 minutes away from my house. It's no big deal for me to come - I just really hate the thought of waking up at 4:30 in the morning to make it to a 6 am appointment.

Nope! Either stamp in passport or GC or AP will get you back in the U.S. okay. Don't risk it, wait until your GC comes.

We got our EAD Production email today! It says to allow 30 days to get it but I hope it doesn't take that long!! We are sooo excited! I can't wait to get it so Hilario can work!!!

my husband got approved for his AOS yesterday and go the stamp in the passport. the officer said we should get the card in 15 days...so exciting!! my husband is starting monday for job hunting..should be fun..hehe!! just happy this is one thing off of our list of things to do...!!!

We also received our EAD producation card email today. Our AOS and EAD reqeusts were recieved April 16 and we had our biometrics on May 17/18. (check timeline for exact day). We are so happy, hopefully it comes next week. Wilmot is very excited to start looking for work.

Yes they are working faster than their machines can print the snail mail letters. We got our first EAD card production ordered email on the 22nd, then another on the 25th, then a notice that our notice was mailed on the 28th, and the EAD arrived today, but still no written notice. But I'm ok with that.

Nope! Either stamp in passport or GC or AP will get you back in the U.S. okay. Don't risk it, wait until your GC comes.

If you are a k-3 holder you can travel with your visa. It's no problem! But if you are a K-1 holder you have to have a AP ou a GC before go outside US...
