Wow, I just received an email notification of my AOS like this

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR

TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 27, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this

customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions

on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within

60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT

processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you

move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also

receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the

link below to register.

This is awesome!

By the way, anyone knows what is ADIT processing? :P

By the way, anyone knows what is ADIT processing? :P

Congrats!

"ADIT. Alien Documentation, Identification and Telecommunications (ADIT) system. Records consist of formatted data base records of personal and biographical information such as name, date of birth, picture and fingerprint coordinates, height, mother's first name, father's first name, city/town/village of birth.

The system is used to collect key data concerning an alien. When processed together with an alien's photographs, fingerprints and signature, this becomes the source document for generation of Form I - 551, Permanent Resident Card..."

"(Amended effective 1/20/99; 63 FR 70313 ), upon completion of each adjustment case under section 5 or 19 of Public Law 97-116, the Service forwards ADIT Card Data Collection Form I-89 to the processing center for issuance of Form I-551. This is the terminal processing."

What you need to do is rant right here in our thread. :P Within days you are bound to see something. Worked for me and Misa, and a few others. Try it.

congrats to all the approvals. Yes you are right this process is insane. One of my VJ buddies applied in Jan, got trans to CSC, got their EAD in March but not even a touch since then. A guy from my area applied for AOS in Feb and had his card 3 months later...insane indeed.

Ok here is my official rant(first one since K-1).

This is all bull-sh*t. I have been with my man for nearly 4 years, he came here overstayed 2 days so they wouldn't let him back in. He applied for a B-2 in Dublin May05, was denied, we applied for the K-1....he was approved after a very LONG time & now we are in AOS hell. I am not complaining about the time we have been waiting(which has only been a few months). I am complaining about the fact that we have to wait at all.

ok-I feel SO MUCH BETTER.....thanks for letting me get that out!

There there now :luv: You should have something anyday now!!

I agree with you that this who process sucks. They allow all these illegals to be here, and we have to pay hundreds if not thousands to do thigs the right way and what do we get for folowing the rules? SCREWED! I really hope your rant worked.

Depends on how busy your district office is. You'll get an interview letter from Missouri hopefully soon to appear at your district office. You won't get transferred to CSC because you are adjusting from something other than K1 or K3.

Thanks for reply Misa;

July 4th is coming; probably it will take little bit longer because it's summer vacations.

BTW, I always curious about what it looks like in the processing center, anyone has photo link of the processing center?

Have great holiday to all in this forum, this is very helpful!:dance:
