It's been a big week for everyone, it seems, and a busy one for me, or I'd have posted more.

We got three touches from our initial approval for the EAD, and it showed up yesterday in the mail. I'm super-relieved that we're a step closer in the process; now we just need to wait to clear the background checks.

Congratulations to everyone!

I wonder what they have left to check with the FBI? Did you have a long AP before your visa was issued? I know my husband was on AP for 3months, so I can't imagine what else they need to look for. :unsure:

I'm putting together the stuff I need to take on Thursday (interview), this is what I have for relationship proof...

Car insurance in both names for 4 x 6 month periods (june 2005 - present)

Variety of bank statements in both names, 2 seperate banks spanning 3 - 4 years.

Insurance cards with all family names on.

Tax returns from IRS with filing status showing jointly filed for past 3 years.

Various bills in individual names (but same address)

Do I need the most current bank statements?

There aren't many pictures with me in as I'm the designated picture taker, would holiday pics with hubby and the kids be ok. I have about 3 wedding pictures and they were taken by my sis in law so you can imagine how great they are :)

We'll be taking with us the current ones, (also the paystubs--was stated for the past 2 months in the letter)..and I read somewhere not too long ago that the officer was concerned of their current financial status so chose the current bank statements over the old ones the couple brought with them..I don't know how it went for others, good luck!

I'm presuming that you mean "administrative process" instead of "advance parole" in this context, although we didn't file for advance parole, since we'd heard too many horror stories. The difference between us and a lot of people on the board is that she didn't come on a fiancee visa; she came on a media visa and we decided to get married a few months later. Hopefully, it all goes well. I found it a bit strange that we'd either get an interview earlier than the background checks were happening, or that the checks were so slow. :-/

For those of you who have received EAD card production emails, have any of you actually received the card yet? Wondering about how long from production order to receipt. I haven't seen Burke's update list in awhile. But the posts are probably flying in faster than she can type :lol::dance: 2 weeks and 2 days until our interview.

Wow your interview is coming up quickly too. I think we interview just a few days apart. Here I was worried about ME losing or packing something needed for the interview and my overzealous son in law who was trying to be helpful, packed ALL of my scrapbooking stuff, including the book I am currently working on for the interview. :blink: fortunately he read my mad face when he returned home and said..oh oh what did I pack that I wasn't supposed to. He found it in the 4th box he opened. :lol: Now back to work on the book.

06/08/09 - Completed biometrics. Still unable to access case status online. Now the real wait begins!

06/09/09 - Finally case status showed up online!. Touched today

09/21/09 - Approved (Letter from USCIS Vermont, dated 09/16/09)

09/23/09 - Card production ordered

09/30/09 - Card received!. USCIS done until citizenship!

05/21/10 - Mailed N-400

05/24/10 - N-400 received at Dallas, TX Lockbox

06/01/10 - Check cashed

06/04/10 - Received N-400 receipt notice (NOA dated 05/27)

06/29/10 - Placed service request for not receiving biometrics. Transferred to immigration officer, who confirmed that the Biometrics

letter has been generated and I would be receiving it shortly.

07/01/10 - Email and SMS case update stating that the Biometrics letter has been sent on June 29'th 2010.

07/06/10 - Received Biometric appointment for 07/23 (dated 06/30)- DONE

08/02/10 - Received yellow letter reminding me to bring my state ID (dated 07/28)

08/05/10 - Case touched. Email and SMS case update stating that the case has been transferred to the local office for interview.

08/06/10 - Case touched

08/06/10 - Received interview appointment for 09/10 at 9:20AM in Philadelphia, PA

08/07/10 - Case touched

09/10/10 - Interview completed and recommended for approval

09/17/10 - Oath ceremony scheduled for Sep 29!.

09/29/10 - Oath completed. US citizen as of today. Journey complete!.
